You can define your own PJL commands to be inserted as the first data into the merged PCL spool file, either via 1 = Merge with overlay in Auto Forms Control or via the merge command APF3812/APF3812.
The PJL commands may e.g. to be used for these things:
1.Enter an account for internal printing invoicing.
2.Enter a user and password to enable color printing.
3.Enter the user and password for the secure print, so that the print data stream is retained in the printer memory or on the hard disk for a manual print request in the printer's display / menu.
4.To select a specific output tray. Unfortunately, the corresponding PCL command is not supported on all printers.
The custom PJL commands are defined exactly as they are for stapling.
