As InterFormNG is gradually developed new functionality is of course added. When new functionality is used in the templates (designs), then it cannot be expected that templates using this new functionality will run on older versions of InterFormNG. So you should always take care when you edit a template: It is always recommended to use the same version of InterFormNG for editing the templates as the version on which you later intend to use the templates.

InterFormNG is also backwards compatible, so that it is normally also fine if you edit a template in a designer, that is an older version, than the version you intend to use for production - unless the template (or subtemplates) are using new functionality unknown to the designer.
