You can use the default journal, which is APF3812/APFJRN, but you can also use your own journal - one that is outside the APF3812 library. If you chose to use a journal outside the APF3812 library, you should make sure that you are journaling the new APF3812 library after the upgrade - not the APF3812OLD library.
