With the Advanced PDF module, it is possible to add a digital signature to output PDF files. You can use the digital signature to prove, who created the PDF file - in order to make it a legal document - and to prove that no one altered the document after you added your signature.
The digital signature is added as a digital certificate, that you will need to create yourself or buy from a trusted issuer.
Before you can create PDF files with a digital signature you need these things:
(Apart from InterFormNG with a license, which includes the PDF Security module.)
1.A digital certificate file (.pkcs12 or pfx - PKCS#12 w/ x.509 certificate), which includes the private key.
2.You need retrieve the alias of the digital certificate - a procedure for getting that is included below.
3.You need to install ‘Java Cryptography Extension (JCE) Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files’, which enables the use of ‘stronger’ encryption.
Below each of these prerequisites are covered.
