One way to debug execution of the Auto Forms Control jobs is to look into the joblog of the specific job. You can do that with the command, WRKACTJOB SBS(AUTO_FORM) or via option 12. Work with active subsystem AUTO_FORM on the Auto Forms Control menu.
For the specific job you can now use options:
5=Work with job
10. Display job log, if active, on job queue, or pending
To view the joblog of the actual AFC job. (F10 includes details and F18 moves to the bottom).
If you want to include a much information in the joblog as possible you can change the job with option 2 (from WRKACTJOB) and change the LOG and LOGCLPGM options like below:
