You can use one of the many command in InterForm400, if you want to build in a merge between a spooled file and an overlay or overlay selector in your own programs.

 

The merge commands in InterForm400 are all placed in library, APF3812. It is not recommended to add the APF3812 library to the library lists, but instead specify the command and library when you call the commands. The merge commands (merge between a spooled file and overlay/overlay selector) are:

 

1.APF3812/APF3812

Use this command to merge into a PCL5 spooled file to be printed on most laser printers. The command can also merge into a PCL stream file (normally referred to as a .prn file).

2.APF3812/MRGSPLFIDP

Use this command to merge into a IDP (Intermec Direct Protocol) spooled file, that can be printed on labels printers compatible with Direct Protocol.

3.APF3812/MRGSPLFIPL

Use this command to merge into a IPL (Intermec Printer Language) spooled file, that can be printed on labels printers compatible with IPL. IPL should be avoided, and IDP should be used instead.

4.APF3812/MRGSPLFPDF

Use this command to merge into a PDF file, that can be created in the IFS, sent as an attachment in an email, or directly displayed, if run in an interactive job.

5.APF3812/MRGSPLFZPL

Use this command to merge into a ZPLII (Zebra Printer Language) spooled file, that can be printed on labels printers compatible with ZPLII - Zebra label printers are recommended.
