It is possible to install PTFs (Program Temporary Fixes) for InterForm400. Such PTFs are delivered by InterForm A/S as zip files.
To install a PTF you need to first copy the PTF file (zipped or unzippped) into the IFS inside /APF3812Home/PTFs (if not your IBM i will try to load the PTF directly via the network, but such an option might be blocked via firewalls).

To install the PTF from the IFS you should select these options in InterForm400:

Type in the PTF number (the 4 digit part of the PTF name), press Enter and confirm the install with F10.
During the installation of the PTF this will happen:
1.A new library called APFPTFxxxx will be created.
2.The objects in the APFPTFxxxx library will exchange place with objects in the APF3812 library with the same name. A PTF may also contain additional objects.
3.After the installation the APFPTFxxxx library contains the old objects from InterForm400.
4.It is recommended to keep the APFPTFxxxx library for a while to ensure that the problem has been fixed. In some instances it is even possible to uninstall a PTF, if this library is kept.
You can delete the APFPTFxxxx library after a subsequent upgrade of InterForm400, or when you are confident, that the PTF has not caused a problem.
