On the IBM i platform InterFormNG2 behaves a bit differently compared to other platforms, when it comes to printers:
1.The supported printer mime types are limited to Direct protocol, PCL and ZPL i.e. Driverprint and Postscript are not supported on the IBM i platform.
2.It is possible to connect with the printer without producing an output spooled file and printing via OS400. The other connection types can also be used.
3.The XML file produced by Spool2XML contains a special JOBINFORMATION subtree, which includes a lot of information of the original job and spooled file, that generated the original XML. This job information can be used e.g. for deciding the target printer in the workflow.
