Images that you want to use for label printers must be installed for Zebra using options:

Note: You cannot use images installed for PCL or PDF output.

 

The following TIF image standards are supported for sharp black and white images (no grey):

 

•TIFF format Rev. 4.0 non-compressed or with data compression Scheme-2.

•TIFF Huffman Compressed

•TIFF format CCITT T.6 (fax group 4)

•MOD:CA including black and white image tags (If the MOD:CA file includes more images only the first image will be used)

•LZW compression

 

•Color images (are converted into black/white during install via the TOOLSHED jobs, so the Auto_form subsystem must be started).

 

If you want to include dynamic images from hundreds or thousands of files, consider the &&IMG option for ZPL output.

 

You might need to resize the image before import if you want it to be a specific size. The required size can be calculated with the InterForm400 pixel conversion tool.

 

                                                       

You can install TIFF images in some specific formats. TIFF images can only be installed from the /APF3812Home/Work directory.

 

NOTE:  Even though you can specify up to 10 characters form the installed image name you should strict the name to max. 7 characters if you plan download the image into the flash memory of a Zebra printer.

 

 

Load images in the Zebra flash memory

 

With this feature you can download images onto the flash memory of a Zebra printer. This enables faster printing. Only images with names consisting of up to 7 characters can loaded into the flash memory. When you add an image to this list a spooled file is created, that will do the load of the image. This spooled file will also print out the downloaded image with the specified rotation.

Rotation can be N, E, W or S for North, East, West and South. These equals rotations 000, 270, 090 and 180 degrees (in the same order).

 

                                                                             

 

Reload images and fonts in Zebra flash memory

 

Select options:

19. Initiate ZEBRA flash memory and reload fonts and images

 

This option will work exactly as option 19 (with the same name) on the 4. Work with Fonts menu.
