The merged spooled files for laser printers are output PCL files, but you can also create output prn files with PCL commands inside in a few ways:
1.If you preview as PCL, then InterForm400 will create (or replace) the stream file in the IFS inside /APF3812Home/View with the same name as your user profile - without any extension.
2.If you preview the merged PCL spooled file with either of the commands: APFWRKOUTQ or APFWRKSPLF, then the stream file inside /APF3812Home/View with your user name is also updated.
3.You can also use the APF3812/APF3812 command to merge into a PCL file in the IFS. This can e.g. be used if you create a huge output file, that should be printed else where. This output file can even be zipped before you send it.
