PDF output

You can create PDF output in InterForm400 in multiple ways:

 

A video is included below as introduction.

 

1.With the PDF file naming defition. This is a very flexible, menu driven feature, that can be triggered via Auto Forms Control.

2.With the MRGSPLFPDF command. You can set the wanted output (e.g. PDF or email) in the OUTTYPE parameter.

3.You can merge PDF files together with the PDFCONCAT feature. The advanced PDF module is required.

4.You can preview the merged result as PDF from the designers.

5.You can do a manual merge via the InterForm400 menu.

6.You can even print PDF files with the APF3812/PRTPDF command.

 

If you want to email the PDF file, you should consider the email features of InterForm400.

 

The PDF files, that you create can be advanced:

 

1.You can include back pages and create PDF files for duplex printing.

2.You can create PDF/A output.

3.The PDF files can be digitally signed.

4.You can encrypt and password protect PDF files.

5.Embed other files of any file type into the PDF.

6.Include dynamic images from the IFS or an external http server.

7.Include dynamic links in the PDF file.

8.ZUGFeRD PDF files can be created for german invoices.

9.Add a written signature with the signpad module.

10.Add keywords to the PDF.

11.You can even add bookmarks to the PDF.
