This function executes a PDF file naming finishing definition. It will create PDF files, that are the result of a merge with the specified overlay or overlay selector. Refer to the PDF file naming finish definition, read the description of P=Send PDF E-mail above, and the common parameters under 1=Merge with overlay.

Unicode output
For the parameter Unicode output you can use the value ‘*PDFA’ to create PDF files, that are PDF/A compliant.
Compress text
The parameter: Compress text indicates if you want to compress the text in the resulting pdf file. *NO is default (to be backwards compatible). If the pdf file contains a lot of text (e.g. as in a joblog) the compression can be as high as 70%.
User profile to run job
Defines under which user profile this function will run and thus also the user profile under which the PDF files will be created. If the spooled file owner e.g. does not have enough authority to create the pdf files you can here specify a fixed user profile with sufficient authority instead of *SPLFOWNER.
PDF Back-Page type
This tells InterForm400 how to handle duplex back pages, if you have defined any for the overlay(s) used for the merge. Details for PDF output is covered here.
The possible values are:
*NO |
Include no page page overlays in the PDF result. |
*DUP |
Include blank pages, so that the PDF can be printed in duplex with back pages as specified for PCL output. |
*SMP |
Include the back page overlay pages without any blank pages, so this PDF is optimized for simplex printing (not duplex). |
*LST |
Include only the last back page in the PDF result - to remove duplicates in the PDF result. |
NOTE: In order to get PDF output you need to purchase the PDF module or the classic package for InterForm400.
