With InterForm400 you can staple multiple pages together. The video below can be used as an introduction.
The requirements for stapling with InterForm400 are:
1.Stapling require a minimum of two pages. InterForm400 (and the printer) will refuse to staple a single page together.
2.Stapling require, that the printed pages are placed in an output bin, that supports stapling.
3.Stapling is supported via PJL commands only. InterForm400 includes the specific PJL sequences for a lot of different printers, but you can also define your own PJL sequences.
4.The actual stapling command is added during a merge with an overlay or overlay selector.
5.For stapling per recipient you need to merge with the spooled file generated by the staple finish definition. The setup in Auto Forms Control should ensure that.
6.InterForm400 will use positions 341-378 in line 1 and positions 367-378 in line 2 of the new spooled file, if you are using stapling per recipient. So these positions can not be used by input spooled file.
7.The printer type used for the merge must be a PJL printer type.
InterForm400 supports two types of stapling:
1.With copy management on the overlay, you can print multiple copies of each page and staple them together.
2.Stapling per recipient, i.e. stapling pages whenever there is a difference in the text found in the spooled file, so that InterForm400 will staple pages for each specific customer or document number. This can even also be combined with copy management.
InterForm400 comes with a lot of predefined stapling commands for various printers, but you can also setup your own PJL stapling commands.
